Summer 2026 in Boca Raton: The Season the Dining Map Actually Shifted

Last summer, the honest answer to "where should we take our friends visiting from up north" narrowed to a short list around Mizner Park, plus the usual Palmetto Park Road standbys. This summer, the answer depends on where in Boca you live. A 250-seat room opened on the Southwest side in late May. Town Center at Boca Raton has two serious dinner concepts confirmed to follow. A pocket of Mizner Park's perimeter picked up three smaller openings between April and May. For the first time in a few years, the walkable and drivable radius for a good meal expanded in three directions at once.

That is the season worth paying attention to, and it is happening while the free Friday concert calendar at the amphitheater runs longer than most residents remember. The pieces below are organized the way a resident would use them: what is on this week, what opened this spring, and what is still coming before season starts.

The Free Friday Anchor at Mizner Park Amphitheater

The city's Summer in the City series returned for 2026 and now runs from Friday, June 12 through Friday, August 7 at Mizner Park Amphitheater at 590 Plaza Real. Gates are at 7 p.m. and shows begin at 8 p.m. unless noted. Every date on the calendar is free.

Two details residents forget between seasons. First, free parking is available at City Hall and the Boca Raton Library, food and beverage are sold inside the venue, and no outside alcohol is permitted. Second, the July 24 Hamilton screening is programmed as part of an America 250 tie-in, which explains its slot in what is otherwise a tribute-band lineup.

The programming next door at The Studio at Mizner Park runs a different rhythm. Mick Foley: 40 Years of Foley is on July 7, and BRCW Summer Smash is scheduled for August 16. Magic in Mizner returns for evening shows on select Fridays through summer. The point for a resident is that the plaza now sustains a Friday-night crowd from mid-June through the second week of August with almost no dark nights.

Southwest Boca Finally Gets a Destination Room

The most consequential opening of the spring is not in the downtown core. Nômade, originally a fixture of the Westport, Connecticut dining scene, opened its first Florida location in Boca Raton in late May 2026. The room seats 250. The space was designed by co-owner Mary C. Webster and blends influences from Africa, Europe, and the Middle East through custom details, handcrafted finishes, Moroccan glassware, and an Italian marble bar.

Executive Chef Zoltán Kovács runs a menu that draws inspiration from North Africa, the Mediterranean, Latin America, and Europe, featuring shareable dishes alongside signature cocktails and private-label wines. According to the Boca Raton Observer's coverage, the location sits in the Southwest Boca area, which matters more than it sounds. Until now, residents on that side of the city drove east to Mizner or south to Delray for a room of this scale. Nômade shortens that drive by ten to fifteen minutes for a significant slice of West Boca and the western edges of Boca Raton proper.

Reservations are taken by phone only, at (561) 576-2534, with walk-ins accepted based on availability. Parties of six or more require a card on file. That policy alone tells you what kind of night the operators expect the room to book.

Town Center Is About to Become a Dinner Address

For years, Town Center at Boca Raton has read as a lunch and shopping stop with dinner as an afterthought. That is changing quickly. Two credible concepts are confirmed for the property at 6000 Glades Road.

Felice, the family-run New York City spot for authentic Tuscan dishes, is opening a Boca Raton location at Town Center. The brand carries real weight in New York. Felice was founded in 2007 on Manhattan's Upper East Side by restaurateur Jacopo Giustiniani and is part of SA Hospitality Group, the hospitality company behind Sant Ambroeus and Casa Lever. Anyone who has spent time in the Sant Ambroeus universe on Madison Avenue or in Southampton understands what that group brings to a room. No opening date has been set publicly as of early summer.

The second confirmed arrival is Limani Grill, a refined Mediterranean seafood concept coming to Town Center, showcasing Greek culinary traditions through market-fresh seafood, crudo, and charcoal-grilled specialties, with premium ingredients including first-pressed Kalamata olive oil and Santorini capers. Between Felice and Limani, Town Center is picking up a Tuscan wine bar and a Greek seafood house within the same year. Neither category was well represented at that address before.

The read for a resident is straightforward. If your household's default Friday dinner is currently a fifteen-minute drive to Mizner Park, one or both of these openings will pull that drive to five minutes, and the reservation books at your current default will feel it.

The Smaller Spring Openings Worth Knowing

Not every opening this spring merits a table reservation weeks out, but a few are the sort of neighborhood entries that shift where you grab lunch on a Tuesday or pick up dinner on the way home. Boca Raton Observer's restaurant news index tracked the following, all opening within a six-week window.

• MINŌ Omakase & Sake Bar, an intimate omakase experience opening in early April 2026, described in local coverage as rooted in seasonality.
• AJ's Italian Deli, opened in late April, focused on sub sandwiches and traditional Italian deli fare.
• Talkin' Tacos, opened May 20 near Mizner Park with a late-night bites and high-energy grand opening.
• Nômade, opened end of May in Southwest Boca as covered above.

Layered against the free concert calendar, that clustering matters. A resident who used to make one dining decision on a Friday night now has a legitimate sequence to choose from: dinner at one of the smaller Palmetto-area rooms, then a walk to the amphitheater for a tribute show, then a nightcap at a spot that did not exist eight weeks ago.

What This Actually Means if You Already Live Here

Here is the claim worth holding onto. For most of the last cycle, "new in Boca" was shorthand for "new at Mizner Park." That has quietly stopped being true. In the span of one spring, credible operators committed to three distinct submarkets: Nômade in Southwest Boca, Felice and Limani at Town Center, and the smaller cluster of concepts around downtown. Each of those pockets now supports its own summer routine.

For a resident, three practical consequences follow.

1. The Friday-night radius shortened. If you live west of Military Trail, you no longer have to drive east for a 250-seat dinner. If you live near Town Center, the shopping-and-dinner sequence is about to work in a way it did not before.
2. The Mizner Park calendar is denser than it looks on paper. Between the amphitheater's eight-week free run, the Studio's ticketed programming, and the perimeter openings, the plaza sustains a nightly reason to be there almost every summer weekend.
3. Season will absorb this differently. Reservation friction in December and January tends to concentrate at whichever rooms opened in the spring. Nômade, Felice once it opens, and Limani are the names to book early. The smaller openings absorb the overflow.

None of this is a moving-to-Boca story. It is a season worth using while it is fresh, before the winter residents arrive in October and the room count feels a lot smaller.
